The International Micro Air Vehicles Conference and Competition (IMAV) is an annual event that brings together professionals and students from academia and industry from around the world to share the latest advances in the field of unmanned flight systems. This year's IMAV 2023 will take place in Germany from 11 September to 15 September 2023 and will be hosted by the Institute of Flight System Dynamics at RWTH Aachen University.
At the IMAV conference, experts and students will have the opportunity to present their research. In addition, keynotes will be given by leading experts in the field of unmanned aerial systems.
In addition to the technical and scientific presentations, the IMAV conference will also feature two challenging outdoor and indoor flight competitions where students will compete with their fully automated unmanned aerial systems in a series of tasks. This year's outdoor flight competition focuses on unmanned aerial systems used in a search and rescue operation. In contrast, the indoor competition focuses on solving navigation problems using software-based approaches. In this year's scenario, students are faced with the task of navigating unmanned aerial systems through an unknown environment inside a building with static and dynamic obstacles, while interacting with objects on the ground.
Students who wish to register for the flight competition or the conference can do so on the IMAV2023 website ( www.imavs.org).
